There are two broad methods of ground resistance testing. Soil resistivity testers, often called earth testers, measure the ability of the soil itself to conduct electricity. Earth electrode testing measures the electrical connection between an electrical system and the earth. In earth electrode testing, there are four basic techniques fall of potential, direct, fall of potential without disconnection and stakeless measurement. Ground Resistance Testers are offered to perform earth testing or single and multiple forms of earth electrode testing.
