The Alpha 4000 is equipped with universal XRF data modeling, which allows the user the following capabilities:
- Compton Normalization: an 'Internal Standard' uses quantitative analysis without site-specific calibrations.
- Fundamental Parameters: it's ideal for samples with low and high concentrations of many elements.
- Empirical Calibrations: 'Calibration Curves' allows user-generated curves for specialized calibration.
