TRS-RenTelco Selects JDSU Fiber Characterization Solutions
Dallas, Texas, October 31, 2006 - TRS-RenTelco (NASDAQ: MGRC), one of the largest test and measurement rental and leasing businesses in North America, has selected JDSU's leading fiber characterization solutions to include in its robust suite of products. Specifically, Chromatic Dispersion (CD) and Polarization Mode Dispersion (PMD) field test solutions were chosen from JDSU's T-BERD 6000 and T-BERD 8000 product lines. Both the T-BERD 6000 (the lightest and most compact PMD or CD tester available) and T-BERD 8000 provide carriers with powerful yet easy-to-use test sets in a compact and lightweight solution.
"Our customers demand flexible, cost-effective test solutions and we chose JDSU to help us give them exactly that," said Gary Robinette, TRS-RenTelco's Telecom product manager. "The fiber characterization modules on the T-BERD 6000/8000 product lines are a great fit for our rental and leasing customers."

TRS-RenTelco Supports Higher Education
In April of 2006, TRS-RenTelco sponsored the senior engineering project of Frank Hemingway and Channon Dishman, students at the University of New Mexico. Frank and Channon set out to characterize "fingerprints" of 802.11 wireless cards, projecting that wireless cards have a specific RF signature that can identified. TRS-RenTelco donated a one-month rental of an Agilent 89650S, 26.5G Hz Vector Signal Analysis Bundle (a $4219 value) for Frank and Channon's test equipment setup. TRS-RenTelco is proud to have assisted these dedicated students with the successful completion of their project, furthering the development of future technologies.
